((time wise this is taking place sometime on the everning of Thursday but I wasn't able to actually do it.))
-On hearing the shot Riddick quickly flattens himself against the wall and peers through the rain to see if he can see anything. When he can't he walks quickly to the first door number 627 and knocks fairly loudly.-
::He motions at an upward angle with his left hand to acknowledge the comment as he walks down the red-carpeted wooden hall and turns right, entering the room just beyond. It is a spacious, round, red-carpeted room with with high wooden walls lined with portraits of (almost exclusively) beautiful women in period dresses, a large wine cabinet to the right, and a marble staircase on the left leading up to an oak-railed balcony that seems to sink back into an eternity of bookshelves overlooking a fireplace in the back of the room with golden statues of man-sized cats on either side, and a mirror just above that. Before the fireplace is seated two large, comfortable crimson armchairs.::
::Pouring himself a drink at the wine cabinet, Dorian lifts an empty glass in Riddick's direction.:: "May I offer you a drink, constable? It is uncustomary for a guard to drink while on duty in England, but I am still unsure of the policy in Queen's Reign."
"Ah, so Queen's Reign is more akin to Ireland with respect to alcohol tolerance." ::Dorian pours a second glass of chianti for the officer and takes it over to him as he himself sits in one of the armchairs and motions to the one across from him.::
"Curiously, did you happen to hear a loud bang a few moments ago? I had just settled down to sleep when it startled me awake, and then you came knocking..."
-Taking the seat and drink, taking a sip.- "I wouldn't know, I've never been to Ireland." -Pausing for a moment- "Yes I did hear the bang, that was the reason I knocked, I was wondering if you could tell me anything about it."
::The young man raised his glass in a toast with a forthright smile.::
"I do what I can to aid the city. Incidentally, I should have a package arriving from Paris this week, which will no doubt be quite the sensation when I donate it to the Museum of Art."
::After shutting the door behind him, Dorian collapses back against it inside his home and lets out a deep breath.::"That went well..."
::Standing uneasily, and lumbering down the hall toward the mirror above the fireplace, he looks into it and smiles wearily.::
"Chin up, old boy. You just need a drink..."
